This special bundle includes our two most recent projects, The Harry Smith B-Sides and Voices of Mississippi: Artists and Musicians Documented by William Ferris.

Last year, the work of William Ferris was recognized with two Grammy Awards. 32 years earlier, Ferris’s path crossed with record producer Harry Smith when he accompanied Allen Ginsberg on a visit to The University of Mississippi. In the spring of 1987, Ferris was able to express to Smith how much his “Anthology of American Folk Music” had meant to him when he purchased it in the 1960s.

We are excited to be able to offer this combination out of respect to two documentarians that have had a big influence on Dust-to-Digital. Read more about Ferris and Smith’s their interaction in this blog post.
